How the price is calculated

Sellers set prices in their own currency — lira, pounds, dong or baht. We convert to roubles, and here is exactly how.

  1. 1

    We take the market rate

The main source is the Central Bank of Russia. Every 15 minutes we also check an intraday source to catch sharp moves between publications.

  2. 2

    We add a platform buffer

From 2.5% to 4% depending on the currency. It is not our profit but protection: time passes between you seeing the price and us settling with the seller, and the rate moves.

  3. 3

We round up to 10 ₽

A price like “10,487.33 ₽” looks like a calculation error. For expensive items the rounding step is 50 ₽.

  4. 4

Locked for 30 minutes at checkout

Once you start checkout, the rate freezes. If it moves by less than 1.5% in that time, we keep the old price and absorb the difference. If more, we show the new total and ask for your consent. The price never rises silently.

  5. 5

After the order the rate no longer matters

The order permanently stores both the rouble amount and the amount in the seller’s currency. Later rate moves change neither your order nor the seller’s payout.
